This course is an advanced project-based learning (PBL) course mainly targeting the students with “Interdisciplinary Incubation Center for Biomedical and System Semiconductor”. In the course, a student selects his/her own research project and practice leading the project, under supervision of the instructor and other professors/researchers with the center

| Week 3 | Group research topic decision / Noise / mismatch optimization for clocked comparator |
| Week 4 | Feedback on each group / Personal mini project (Design and analysis of clocked comparator using Cadence MC and PSS simulation) |
| Week 5 | Group project / Mini project presentation, evaluation and feedback |
| Week 6 | Group project / Advanced comparator design and application, instruction for the second half of the course (paper review, papers chosen by recommendation from center professors/researchers) |
| Week 7 | Group project interim presentation |
| Week 8 | Mid-term exam |
| Week 9 | Feedback on interim presentation (review from professors/researchers with the center, peer review from other groups) / Paper review 1 |
| Week 10 | Structure and Function of the Nervous System / Paper review 2 |
